I've quoted and responded to reader comments; I've linked approvingly to previous articles of my own (and profusely!); I've even posted a "traveling: blogging will be light" notice. But tomorrow I'm taking this blog thing to really stratospheric heights.
I will be LIVE-BLOGGING (or minute-by-minute reporting, if you prefer) the Chile vs. Brazil game. If you're stuck behind a desk somewhere, God help you, and you want to hear somebody else's half-intelligent thoughts on the game, come on over at 2:30 in the afternoon. If you email me during the match, maybe I'll even publish your observations. As in, publish them on my blog. Yeah, I know. It's pretty damn awesome.
Expect a Brazil-Chile game preview tomorrow AM. In the meantime, a few juicy bits:
* With England and the USA out, I've transferred my allegiances completely to Holland in the top half of the draw and Argentina in the bottom. It's Diego Maradona's Cup, and we're all just living in it.
* Alexandsar Hemon's rant about "whether Americans appreciate soccer."
* The Sun asks which England players should ever wear the national shirt again.
* New photo evidence: Lampard's second goal for England was not actually over the line!
